Doolittle Award
Virgin Galactic pilot Mike "Sooch" Masucci was honored with the Doolittle Award at the Society of Experimental Test Pilots' annual symposium in September 2024. He was nominated by his peers and recognized for his leadership in the development, prototyping and fielding of vital systems aboard both Mothership Eve and Spaceship Unity.

2025 American Astronautical Society Advancement of International Cooperation Award
Virgin Galactic Mission, ‘Galactic 01' earned this distinction for its historic flight, which carried three astronauts from the Italian Air Force, along with more than a dozen research payloads, aboard VSS Unity. The mission demonstrated how commercial suborbital spaceflight is now accessible to nations around the world, opening the door to new scientific research, stronger global partnerships, and shared opportunities in space.
